On Friday, our staff at Proven Project Management and Rowe Group joined forces, forming six dynamic teams to embark on an Amazing Race team building event through the heart of Perth.
Each team was required to put their minds and teamwork abilities to the test, dashing to various checkpoints throughout Perth City solving puzzles, completing challenges, and even scavenging items along the way —all in a quest to accumulate the most points to crown their team as champions!
For over two hours, teams navigated the city streets to notable landmarks and attempted to solve mind-bending puzzles. Many of the tasks between the checkpoints required teams to push each other outside of their usual comfort zones, including striking up conversations with strangers, public displays of theatrical dancing and re-enacting moments from some recognizable films.
The grand finale? An egg-drop challenge, with teams to construct a protective catching device from nothing but paper straws and tape, in an attempt to keep the egg safe when dropped from shoulder height. Precision was key, and while many tried, only two teams successfully kept their eggs intact.
Kudos to the Black team AKA the ‘Dark Horses’, who collected the most points through the day, clinching the top spot and taking home victory! Despite only one team able to be crowned winners, it was a highly memorable day with plenty of laughs and fun for everyone involved.
The team building formalities wrapped up at the Lucky Shag, where camaraderie flowed over drinks and food, and provided an opportunity to debrief after an entertaining day.
A big shoutout to Beyond the Boardroom for coordinating the activities throughout the day. We are already eagerly awaiting our next Proven Project Management and Rowe Group team-building escapade!
