Proven Project Management (PPM) has been engaged by SGS Australia to coordinate the site remediation and demolition of the workshop building. SGS Australia has been operating in Kingbay Industrial Estate at Burrup for over 20 years, leasing the area from Pilbarra Port Authority (PPA). In September 2023, SGS advised PPA that they would no longer be seeking to renew their lease at the Site and would be seeking to exit the lease subject to various obligations under the lease agreement and to the satisfaction of the PPA.
To satisfy the agreement, PPM managed the exit strategy, which included site remediation and the demolition of all on-site assets to restore the site to its original condition. Despite facing challenges, such as contaminated soil, the project was completed successfully and within the agreed budget.
