This week marked the official opening of Wallis Drilling’s new headquarters in Hazelmere, a major milestone for both the company and the wider resources sector in Western Australia.
Representing Proven Project Management and Rowe Group, Project Manager Jeremy Mitchell attended the ceremony and joined industry leaders, government representatives and the Wallis team to celebrate the delivery of the new facility.


The development consolidates Wallis Drilling’s operations into a single, purpose-built headquarters, supporting its continued growth as a leading Australian manufacturer and drilling contractor. As highlighted during the event, the facility represents a key investment in local manufacturing capability, innovation and long-term employment opportunities across the State.
Executive Chairman Mark Crumby and Executive Director Graeme Wallis reflected on the company’s 60+ year history, with a strong focus on innovation, safety and performance, values that continue to underpin the business today.
Minister for Mines and Petroleum, Hon. David Michael MLA, also acknowledged the importance of projects like this in supporting Western Australia’s mining and exploration sector, highlighting the critical role of drilling and manufacturing in enabling future resource development.
From a project delivery perspective, the new headquarters is a significant achievement.
Proven Project Management has been involved since project inception in 2020, providing end-to-end services including consultant coordination, design development, procurement, construction management and project close-out. The delivery required careful coordination across a complex scope, incorporating office, workshop and industrial infrastructure components, while maintaining strong alignment with health, safety and environmental requirements.
