Proven was engaged by a private landowner group to undertake the major refurbishment and expansion of the existing Southlands Shopping Centre at Burrendah Boulevard, Willetton.
Our role included all statutory approvals, tenant liaison and coordination, project management and contract administration, as well as tenancy coordination.
Southlands is a District Shopping Centre comprising, some 25,000m2 Net Lettable Area. Southlands was an existing but dated centre which at commencement of the project comprised (circa) 14,000m2 Net Lettable retail floor area with the major “anchor” tenant being a Coles supermarket. The Redeveloped Centre is built over two levels with the Cinema and a multi-level car park deck at second floor.
As an existing centre the Project Manager’s role was to ensure that during all works the centre remained fully functional and accessible to customers and traders.
Proven was engaged to act as Project Manager to deliver the refurbishment and/or construction of;
Proven conducted a national tender invitation program for the appointment of the project builder. The successful builder was Reed Constructions from Sydney. Reed mobilised for the project in Perth and the project team was required to procure various specialised building materials and fabrication items from New South Wales.
