In Western Australia, Proven was appointed as Project Manager to facilitate Australia Post’s national store refurbishment “roll out”.
At the end of the “roll out”, the project incorporated works on 88 Australia Post Shops throughout the State. Our work included the engagement of “period contractors” who provided standard specification solutions for Australia Post. Individual builders were required to be engaged for each project.
The projects included both freestanding historic Australia Post buildings and modern leasehold tenancies in district and regional level shopping centres. Australia Post is the largest heritage landowner in the nation. In many of the Post Shop conversions we were required to obtain approvals from not only Local Authorities, but also the Heritage Council of Western Australia. Our work involved both internal and external refurbishment, and in many cases, heritage façade modifications and/or restoration.
We were required, as a part of our service delivery to negotiate with Australia Post property, retail and industrial relations representatives. Australia Post has a strong culture of engaging in its development outcomes with both administrative and service delivery staff.
