The existing transfer path was only suitable for smaller Offshore Patrol Vessels and could not support the much larger Anzac Class frigates which are currently in use by the Royal Australian Navy or support the upcoming Hunter Class frigates. In order to allow for the transfer of these larger naval vessels (up to 10,000 tonnes) from the CUF’s Floating Dock/Transfer Wharf a significant upgrade to the existing transfer path was required.

The project was delivered under a traditional lump sum construct only contract. To ensure the successful completion of the project in April 2022. Proven Project Management worked closely with the Contractor, Engineers, Users and Facility Management to ensure that the works were completed in a timely manner in accordance with the approved design. All whilst reducing the impact these works would have on the CUF and its day to day operations.
