This project aims to establish a state-of-the-art facility at Tech Park on the B614 lot, dedicated to conducting advanced corrosion studies on fluids containing CO2, H2S, organic acids, and elemental mercury. The significance of this project lies in its capacity to mimic real-world conditions found in pipelines and other high-flow environments, enabling groundbreaking local research that could revolutionize global corrosion control strategies. This is especially critical as currently, no local facility exists for such specialized testing, with Chevron relying on a facility in Norway.

As of now, we are in the construction phase, with a completion target set for August 2024. Trigon Projects is the contractor executing the works. To date, significant progress has been made, including site scanning to identify underground services, confirmation of service locations, tree lopping, topsoil removal, and the beginning of trenching for the services. The project has currently reached 30% completion.

Throughout this project, Proven has been instrumental in ensuring that all aspects of the construction adhere to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, while also navigating the complexities of creating a facility tailored to such specific and advanced research needs.
