Proven Project Management were engaged as Superintendent and Project Management services for the refurbishment of Health Science Buildings 308 & 405 at the Bentley Curtin University campus. The scope of their responsibilities included the procurement of consultants, guiding the design, tender, and contractor recommendation processes, overseeing construction, and coordinating compliance testing and commissioning.
As the Superintendent, Proven Project Management conducted a multi-level refurbishment in both buildings, involving the demolition of redundant services and the upgrade of amenities, furniture, cabinetry, and mechanical and electrical infrastructure. Notably, Proven addressed health and safety risks, including the removal of asbestos-containing material from various locations within Building 308.
The project presented distinctive challenges, such as working in live environments occupied by students, staff, and research facilities. The potential repercussions of disturbing sensitive research projects required innovative risk mitigation strategies, which Proven adeptly introduced to both contractors and the client. Through extensive stakeholder engagement and project team coordination, Proven Project Management successfully navigated these challenges, achieving overall success in the project’s delivery.
