Proven Project Management successfully project managed the Department of Housing’s significant Willagee New Living Project.
This role included the management of site evaluation, earthworks programme, negotiation of outcomes with existing Homeswest tenants, the Client and the Local Authority to achieve redevelopment of the locality.
This major urban renewal project was a staged development occurring over a decade. Existing homes on large lots were demolished and the land re-subdivided to increase densities and facilitate new home construction. The scope of the project required the management of demolition, significant retaining wall construction across the locality, management of steep topography, earthworks, subdivision works and public open space construction, all adjacent to existing housing. Significant community and stakeholder liaison was required in addition to project team coordination.
The Willagee New Living Project reinvigorated the Willagee locality and was completed successfully with the final sales revenue being significantly higher than the Client’s expectations. This was a reflection of the holistic approach that was taken towards the project’s management
